This news comes hot on the heels of the Connectivity Standards Alliance, the consortium behind Matter, officially approving the first set of specifications. Once the company updates its SmartThings app, users will be able to see Matter-enabled devices that were set up under Google’s ecosystem and import them into Samsung’s ecosystem, and vice versa. This means that you can control these devices from either the Samsung SmartThings app or the Google Home app – talk about convenience!
