Frequently Asked Questions: Samsung Warranty
How do I check my Samsung warranty status?
Go to samsung.com/us/support/warranty/ and enter your serial number or IMEI. Alternatively, open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy device — warranty status appears under Registration → My Products. Full step-by-step in our warranty check guide.
Does Samsung warranty cover a cracked screen?
Standard Samsung warranty does NOT cover accidental damage including cracked screens. You need Samsung Care+ to cover screen cracks and drops. Without it, screen repair is an out-of-warranty paid service. Prices vary by model — a Galaxy S24 Ultra screen replacement runs approximately $279–$349 USD at Samsung service centers.
Can I transfer a Samsung warranty to a new owner?
Samsung’s standard warranty in the US is tied to the product, not the original purchaser — meaning it transfers with the device on a private sale, provided the original purchase receipt is available. Samsung Care+ plans, however, are non-transferable.
