Samsung nu6950 vs nu6900 Full Review Comparison
1. Use in a Variety of Situations
Samsung NU6900
Samsung NU6900 is a mobile phone manufactured by Samsung.
The Samsung NU6900 is a decent television for a variety of purposes.
While viewing in a dark room, it boasts an exceptional contrast ratio, which makes blacks appear deep and rich in color.
It is not suited for watching television shows or sports in bright rooms due to the fact that it does not grow very bright, but it has good handling of reflections.
Positively, the input lag is minimized, making it a good choice for video games.
Samsung nu6950
The Samsung nu6950 is suitable for a variety of tasks.
It doesn’t perform well in bright situations, but it has a high contrast ratio that makes blacks appear deep, making it a better choice for watching movies in the dark than other options.
Because the image loses precision when viewed from the side, the restricted viewing angles are not ideal for socializing while watching television or sports with friends.
It has a relatively low input lag, which makes for a responsive gaming experience, but it does not have any additional capabilities, such as VRR, which would help to prevent screen tearing.

Our testing is currently limited to the 65-inch model for the time being.
Samsung nu6950
Samsung’s latest addition to the MU-Series of smart TVs is the nu6950. It touts an improved display, better contrast ratio, and its new Smart TV functionality.
This review will look at how the Samsung nu6950 fares against other ‘Smart’ TVs, as well as take a close look at what you’re actually getting for your money.
The Samsung nu6950 is available now at Best Buy for $899.99.
It’s also available on Samsung’s website, as well as a variety of other online and brick-and-mortar retailers.
When it comes to TVs, there are a few key factors you need to take into account: resolution, display, and smart functionality. Let’s take a closer look at each of these factors later .
3. Review of the Design
Samsung NU6900:
The NU6900 offers a surprising amount of style for a basic 4K LCD television.
Despite the fact that the plastic chassis is a basic black color, it has a textured finish that makes it look much nicer than most plain back panels.
It’s similarly made of black plastic, but the attachable feet are strong enough that you won’t have to worry about the TV swaying or being knocked over by your child.
The TV is 57.4 x 33 x 2.4 inches and weighs 55.1 pounds without the stand, making it just big and heavy enough that you’ll want a second person to assist you with the setup and relocation of the TV.
The TV comes with a one-year limited warranty. A 6.7 x 12.5-inch footprint is provided by the attachable stand, which raises the television another 3.4 inches.
If you want to install the TV on a wall, the chassis will accommodate a VESA mount with dimensions of 400mm x 400mm.
A strip of grooves runs the entire length of the rear of the television set on the back.
Close study reveals that these grooves aren’t just for show; they also function as cable management, allowing you to route wires for power, HDMI, and coaxial connections while keeping them tucked away and out of sight in the process.
Samsung nu6950
The Samsung nu6950 design is sleek and modern, with a minimalist aesthetic that makes it perfect for any contemporary home.
Its simple lines and understated elegance make it a great choice for anyone who wants a TV that will blend in with their décor, without sacrificing features or performance.
The nu6950 also features Samsung’s latest Smart TV platform, which provides access to a wide range of streaming content, including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.
It also has a built-in browser that lets you surf the web and check your email without having to switch TV inputs.
And with a powerful quad-core processor, the nu6950 can handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.
The design of the nu6950 is just one of the reasons that it’s becoming so popular with consumers.
Many customers are choosing it as their primary TV, but even for smaller spaces, its design is sure to catch the eye.
4. Port Choices
Review of the Samsung NU6900
A panel of connectors may be found on the back of the television, running along the right-hand side of the chassis.
In comparison to other TVs that employ a downward-facing panel, the side-facing orientation of the ports makes it simple to connect and disconnect devices.
Two HDMI ports (one of which is equipped with ARC for use with soundbars and other speaker configurations) and a single USB port are included in the package.
Even while it isn’t a lot of ports — we normally recommend choosing a television with at least four – it will allow you to connect two external sources, such as a game console and a cable box.
In order to increase your connectivity without having to manually shift cables in and out, you’ll want to consider purchasing an HDMI switch.
Aside from that, the port selection is fairly limited, and it’s a little shocking what you won’t find, such as a 3.5-millimeter socket for headphones, RCA audio connectors, and any component or composite video outputs, among other features.
This TV only has HDMI inputs, which may be a source of frustration for certain people.
Additionally, there is an antenna coaxial connector, as well as an optical audio port for connecting older surround sound systems.
Wi-Fi and Ethernet are built-in for network connectivity, but there is no additional wireless functionality, so don’t bother purchasing Bluetooth-connected headphones or speakers for this television set.
Samsung nu6950 Port Choices
If you’re looking for a high-quality 4K TV with great features, the Samsung nu6950 is a model worth considering.
This television comes with a number of different ports that give you plenty of options for connecting your devices. Let’s take a look at some of the most important ones.
HDMI 2.0
You’ll find four HDMI ports in total on the nu6950, two of which are version 2.0 while the other two are 1.4 – meaning that there are three additional HDMI inputs over last year’s nu6800.
The nu6950 supports 4K UHD content at up to 60 frames per second, making it a great option for gamers and other users who demand the best possible picture quality.
USB
With three USB ports, the nu6950 also gives you plenty of options for connecting peripherals.
This can be helpful if you want to access content on external drives or use a USB keyboard and mouse with your TV.
CEC
The nu6950 also includes support for the Consumer Electronics Control standard, or CEC.
This means that you can use your TV’s remote to control connected devices like Blu-ray players and game consoles without having to switch inputs.
It can also simplify certain advanced functions when used with compatible hardware – including the ability to power on your TV and compatible devices with a single button.
Overall, the nu6950 offers a great selection of ports that give you plenty of options for connecting your devices.
So if you’re looking for a high-quality 4K TV with all the features you need, this model is definitely worth considering.
Thanks for watching!
5. Performance Review
The Samsung NU6900 is reviewed for its performance.
In terms of performance, the NU6900 is a strong performer, boasting 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD resolution and HDR compatibility, including HDR10+, Samsung’s own high-dynamic-range standard.
I was impressed with how well the TV handled color and contrast, and it provides good picture quality for everything from movies and television shows to gaming in 4K.
I would recommend it.
In a scene from Spider-Man: Homecoming, the hero in a suit climbs the Washington Monument while the audience watches.
The landscape includes clear blue skies, abundant green greenery on the ground, and a glittering memorial stone set against a backdrop of bright blue skies.
However, while there were vibrant colors, they weren’t as true to life as they had been on other televisions.
As a final point, while the 60Hz refresh rate of the NU6900 is more than adequate for normal TV viewing, we did note that fast motion was a little choppy.
Because of the limited color spectrum of the set, the vibrancy of the colors is a little reduced.
In our color space testing with the X-Rite i1 Pro spectrophotometer, the NU6900 produced 96.25 percent of the sRGB colorspace, which is disappointing when compared to other midrange sets, such as the TCL 6 Series Roku TV or the Vizio E-Series 65-Inch (E65-F1), which both produced nearly 100 percent of the sRGB colorspace, measuring 9.96 and 99.23 percent, respectively, when tested with With a color gamut of 97.13 percent, this is more in line with what we expect from low-cost televisions, such as the Sharp 65-inch 4K Roku TV, which achieved a similar 97.13 percent color gamut and costs less than $500.

SAMSUNG NU650
The Samsung nu6950 is a great television for those who are looking for excellent picture quality.
This TV has great color and contrast, making it perfect for watching movies and television shows as well as gaming in 4K.
I would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great viewing experience.
6. Audio Review
Review of the Samsung NU6900
This model is equipped with a pair of 20-watt speakers, which were capable of producing sufficient sound to fill our testing facility while maintaining excellent clarity even at high volumes.
When I was listening to The Ramones’ “The Blitzkrieg Bop,” the audio remained clear even when the volume was turned up to eleven.
Even when we increased the volume to its maximum, there was no buzzing, which is a common problem with many low-cost televisions.
It was the absence of bass that was my only genuine concern about the audio quality; while some TVs are capable of producing adequate bass levels without the use of a subwoofer, the NU6900 was not one of them.
If you want a more complete sound experience, you might consider purchasing a soundbar that includes a subwoofer.
Samsung NU6950
If you’re in the market for a new TV, the Samsung NU6950 might be worth a look.
This model is equipped with a pair of speakers that are capable of producing sufficient sound to fill our testing facility while maintaining excellent clarity even at high volumes. In other words, they’re loud and clear.
This TV also delivers good audio quality, though I wouldn’t say it’s anything to write home about.
The nu6950 is best used with a soundbar or other external speakers.
I have this TV and aside from being 4K it’s not too bad. I would recommend to someone looking for a mid-range TV.
If you are looking at spending more you should probably look at OLEDs.
If you want to buy a new TV, the nu6950 might be worth your time.
This model has speakers that are capable of producing enough sound to fill our testing facility while maintaining excellent clarity even at high volumes.
In other words, it can get loud and retain good quality.
7. Remote Control Review
Review of the Samsung NU6900
A basic remote provides enough capability to navigate menus using a 4-button directional pad, but it’s a long cry from the more intuitive minimalist design offered by the Samsung One Remote, which comes included with more expensive QLED televisions and other high-end electronics.
A variety of other buttons are located on the side: up and down rockers for volume control and channel selection, media playback buttons, contextual menu buttons, and numbers for entering specific channels are all found here.
The One Remote’s clean, minimalist form may have left you unhappy; but, this is a throwback to earlier, chunkier designs, which may have left you disappointed as well.
After all, when similar-priced smart TVs from other manufacturers come with the sleek Roku remote and other more modern controls, it’s difficult not to conclude that Samsung’s outdated remote is a remnant of the days of dumb televisions.
Remote Control Review: nu6950
The nu6950 is a step up from its nu6800 predecessor and offers quick access to essential apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, KOR-TV (Korea) as well as an adequate menu system.
The remote control is intuitive and straightforward with buttons big enough for even the fattest of fingers.
The nu6950 is mounted with a “Q” button allowing direct access to the smart menu for navigation between apps, search, connectivity settings, inputs, and more.
The nu6950 makes it easy to change sources quickly with dedicated buttons for each input-making switching between devices as painless as possible.
As quick as the nu6950 may be, it is not perfect. One glaring omission is Hulu which is prominently featured on many other competitors’ remotes.
The nu6950 also does not include a headphone jack like some of Samsung’s more expensive models.
Overall, the nu6950 is an excellent remote and a vast improvement over its nu6800 predecessor in both design and functionality.
Samsung’s remote is intuitive, easy to use with large buttons and offers quick access to the nu6950 smart menu.
Our Final Verdict
The Samsung NU6900 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable 4K smart TV without having to spend a lot of money.
It’s a terrific set to pick up on bargain because of its appealing design, excellent contrast, and decent smart TV experience.
This Samsung smart TV does, however, have some shortcomings, such as a restricted number of available ports, average picture quality, and a less extensive array of smart TV functions than other Samsung models.
The TCL 6-Series Roku TV provides greater picture quality and more robust smart TV software, but it comes at a cost of approximately $150 more than the TCL 5-Series Roku TV.
So if you’re looking for a big screen for a low price, the Samsung NU6900 is a good option.
