Samsung Experience Service App History

TouchWiz was the previous name for Samsung’s user interface and icons.

On June 4, 2010, it was released for the Galaxy Galaxy smartphone for the first time.

Reviewers have chastised Samsung for cramming too many features and bloat into the Galaxy S4, particularly the Galaxy S4’s “feature creep,” as it was dubbed by many users.

Samsung gradually reduced the bloatware and added features over the years, until TouchWiz was no longer recognized as TouchWiz, prompting them to rebrand it.

Samsung Experience Features Overview

Pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy devices is the Samsung Knox security software.

When you log into your Samsung account, you may access a variety of Samsung applications, including Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Galaxy Apps, Samsung Members, and SmartThings, among others.

It also includes a facility for validating the identities of its users.

Through your Samsung Cloud and Samsung account shared groups, you may also share a number of objects that are available through preloaded Samsung apps such as Calendar, Samsung Notes, Reminder, Gallery, and Contacts with others.

Samsung Experience Service provides a faster and more convenient user authentication process as a result of ongoing improvements. It also features a function that lets you link different Samsung apps to different Samsung devices.

The Samsung Experience Service has the following primary characteristics:

  • The ability to connect to Samsung apps using your Samsung account
  • Your Samsung account’s Sharing groups feature
  • You can share your profile via the Contacts app
  • In the Gallery app, there are albums that have been shared

9 Amazing Detailed Features of Samsung Experience

1. Home Screen Feature

Samsung Experience modifies Android’s default home screen in a number of ways.    The app’s icon is located in the bottom right corner of the screen rather than the bottom middle, the Google Now search bar is located just below the middle of the screen rather than at the top, and a weather widget is located in the top right corner of the screen. A user can also change the grid structure of the program.

2. Edge Ux User Experience

“Edge” (curved glass at the screen’s edge) was introduced with the Galaxy device and quickly gained popularity after the release of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

3. Edges

It gives users a shortcut to frequently used functions like making a phone call to a specific contact, setting a timer, and scheduling an event in S Planner, to name a few examples.

Contact pictures [with the appropriate phone, messaging, or mail icons], an app icon with a plus symbol on its bottom right corner, or a photomask in the shape of a circle [with the appropriate gallery icon on the bottom right corner] are examples of icons that appear on the right side of the screen.

The persons’ edge allows the user to add up to five different contacts to the screen, allowing them to access functions such as phoning, messaging, and emailing with a single button press.

Ten of a user’s most frequently used apps are displayed on the edge of the application, with five displayed in two columns on the right side of the screen.

An entire folder can also be added to the screen by the user.

4. Edges

It gives users a shortcut to frequently used functions like making a phone call to a specific contact, setting a timer, and scheduling an event in S Planner, to name a few examples.

Contact photos [with the necessary phone, message, or mail icons], an app icon with a plus symbol in the bottom right corner, and a photomask in the shape of a circle with the appropriate gallery icon in the bottom right corner make up this set of icons on the right side of the screen.

The user can add up to five different contacts to the screen, allowing them to access functions like dialing, messaging, and emailing with a single button press.

It shows the contact’s name as well as a picture of him or her.

The user can even add a whole folder on the screen.

5. Quick Tools and Edge Panels

Extra panels can be downloaded to make the interface more user-friendly, such as an RSS reader, Twitter trends, and CNN news.

The Edge may be transformed into a ruler, compass, or flashlight with the use of a few basic tools.

6. The Grace UX

It allows users to quickly access frequently used functions such as calling a specific contact, setting a timer, and arranging an event in S Planner, to mention a few.

The user can add up to five different contacts to the screen, allowing them to dial, message, and email with a single button press.

It includes a photo of the contact as well as his or her name.

On the edge of the application, ten of a user’s most frequently used apps are presented, with five displayed in two columns on the right side of the screen.

On the screen, the user can even add a whole folder.

7. Display

The majority of Samsung’s mobile devices feature AMOLED displays, and when the always-on display is turned on, the screen is essentially dark; only the lighted pixels, which are LEDs, require electricity.

Later, the option of scheduling the always-on display or having it on at all times was added.

The brightness of the always-on display is automatically adjusted based on the brightness of the surrounding light.

8. This is a Game Launcher for Video Games.

A user’s downloaded games are placed together in a single folder for easy access.

This folder contains settings for changing the frame rate and resolution.

There is also Game Tools, which is a button that appears when the user is engaged in a gaming session. When pressed, it can mute notifications, disable capacitive keys, minimize the game, capture screenshots, and record gameplay.

9. S Pencil (exclusive to the Galaxy Note and Tab series)

When the S Pen is removed, Air Command appears as a collection of shortcuts.

  • Smart Select: Create personalized GIFs (after 7.0 Nougat update, also available on Galaxy S8/+ and S9/+)
  • Samsung Notes: With a variety of brushes, pens, and colors, the user can take notes, sketch, and comment (available as an app on Galaxy Apps, except of S Pen writing, but still possible with finger or keyboard type)
  • Live Message: After updating to 7.0 Nougat, users may draw unique emojis, create animated GIFs, and write notes on images (also available on Galaxy S8/S8+, S9/S9+, and Note FE).
  • Screen Off Memo: Take notes when the computer screen is turned off.
In a nutshell, you can have two programs open at the same time and easily switch between them.
  • Magnify: If necessary, take a closer look.
Convert currencies and measuring units, as well as translate words or sentences.
  • Remote Control: Can activate the camera, navigate web browser, and play/pause/fast forward music apps when connected via Bluetooth. (Only available on the Note 9)

5 Tips for Using Samsung Experience (Touch Wiz)

Easy mode is a simplified version with larger on-screen objects, improved navigation, and a separate contact shortcut page. It is good for the elderly.

Go to Settings > Display > Easy Mode to enable this mode.

Then go to Easy mode.

That was all there was to the second mode. Now let’s look at some tips and methods for using Standard mode in the new Samsung Experience Home.

1. Change the Screen Pages in Your Home

There could be several pages on your home screen.

You might want to adjust the page’s position from time to time.

Instead of moving all of the icons from one page to the next, you can adjust the page’s location.

Hold an empty place on the home screen to do so. Hold the page you wish to relocate and drag it to a new spot while you’re in edit mode (where you’ll see four possibilities at the bottom).

2. Screen Settings in your Home

The home screen settings can be accessed in a few different ways.

The first is via the phone’s settings, which can be found under Settings > Display > Home screen.

However, this is inconvenient, and there are other ways to get it.

Hold or long-press an empty place on the home screen, for example.

At the bottom, you’ll see four options: wallpapers, themes, widgets, and home screen settings. Select the last option.

3. Icons Must Be Aligned

When we drag apps to the home screen, they are placed in random order.

Although we can manually align them, Samsung Experience Home offers a native alignment option.

Hold the home screen to enter edit mode and position the icons on the home screen.

There are two alignment icons, one at the top and one at the bottom of the page.

The icons will be aligned to the top if you tap the top one. The icons will align at the bottom if you tap the bottom one.

4. Disabling the App Drawer

If you don’t like the app drawer, you don’t have to use third-party launchers to get rid of it.

It has a native setting on the Samsung Experience Home. Follow these procedures to turn off the app drawer:   Step 1: Hold the home screen to access the settings menu.

5.Grid Size Change

While you can’t adjust the icon size in Samsung’s launcher, you can modify the grid size on the home screen and in the app drawer.

Go to the Home screen settings to do so.

Then, for the home screen and app drawer, tap on the Home screen grid and Apps screen grid to select grid sizes.
